All this depression and anxiety can be cured by reciting Quran and understanding the words of Allah as Quran is the way to get satisfaction. From many verses of the Holy Quran, we can learn that in the hours of grief, the words of Allah can give you a new life.
“The ones who have believed and whose hearts (feel) composed with the Remembrance of Allah -verily in the Remembrance of Allah the hearts are composed!” (Quran, 13:28) In this verse of the Holy Quran, it is clearly stated that in the remembrance of Allah the hearts are composed. Thus, by reciting Quran, one also remembers Allah and gets satisfaction.
“And We send down of the Qur’an that which is healing and mercy for the believers, but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss.” (Quran, 17:82) This Quranic verse also shows that Quran has a healing power and by reciting it in the tough times we can be healed. Thus, Quran can give satisfaction to the hearts and soul of the people. Moreover, you can get motivated by reciting Quran as well as there are many verses in Quran that motivates you.
In Quran there are life stories of many prophets like the story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), Prophet Ayub (AS), Prophet Yusuf (AS), Prophet Younus (AS), Prophet Adam (AS) and others. All the prophets of Allah have faced very tough times in their lives and dealt with them by trusting and obeying Allah and with great courage. By reciting and understanding Quran, we can learn about the life stories of the prophets of Allah (SWT) and thus, can get inspiration and motivation from them to deal with our hard times. Hence, this also gives satisfaction to our hearts as we get to know what to do in our hard times.
“And [mention] the man of the fish, when he went off in anger and thought that We would not decree [anything] upon him. And he called out within the darknesses, “There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.” So We responded to him and saved him from the distress. And thus do We save the believers.” (Quran, 21:87-88)
These Quranic verses are about Prophet Younus (AS); he was called as the man of fish as he (AS) was devoured by fish by the order of Allah. These verses tell us about what he (AS) did in his hard time and thus, guide us about what we can do in our tough times; hence, giving us hope and satisfaction that Allah will help us and forgive us and respond to our prayers and our problems will be solved eventually by the mercy of Allah.
