Durood Shareef is a way of sending blessings upon Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) and his progeny. اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّعَلٰٓی اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ کَمَا صَلَّیْتَ عَلٰٓی اِبْرَاھِیْمَ وَعَلٰٓی اٰلِ اِبْرَاھِیْمَ اِنَّکَ حَمِیْدٌ مَّجِیْدٌ اَللّٰھُمَّ بَارِکْ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّعَلٰٓی اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ کَمَا بَارَکْتَ عَلٰٓی اِبْرَاھِیْمَ وَعَلٰٓی اٰلِ اِبْرَاھِیْمَ اِنَّکَ حَمِیْدٌ مَّجِیْدٌ
Allahumma SalliI Ala Muhammadiw Wa Ala Aali Muhammadin Kamaa Sal’laita Ala Ibrahima Wa Ala Aali Ibrahima Inna’ka Hamidum Majid. Allahumma Baarik Ala Muhammadiw Wa Ala Aali Muhammadin Kamaa Baarakta Ala Ibrahima Wa Ala Aali Ibrahima Inna’ka Hamidum Majid.
“O Allah, let Your Blessings come upon Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and the family of Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), as you have blessed Ibrahim and his family. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have blessed Ibrahim and his family. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.”

Salam from Holy Prophet (SAWW):
It was narrated by Abu Hurairah (RA) that Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) said, “There is no one who sends blessings upon me but Allah will return my soul to me so that I can greet him with salaam.” (Ahmad, Abu Dawood)
Blessings from Allah:
Anas bin Maalik (RA) narrated that Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) stated: “Whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah will send blessings upon him tenfold and erase from him ten bad deeds, and will raise him ten degrees in status.” (An-Nasaa’i)
It was narrated that Ubayy ibn Ka‘b (RA) said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, I send a great deal of blessings upon you; how much of my dua should be sending blessings upon you? He said: “Whatever you wish.” I said: One quarter? Then he said: “Whatever you wish, and if you do more, that will be better for you.” I said: One half? Replied: “Whatever you wish and if you do more, that will be better for you.” I said: Two thirds? He said: “Whatever you wish and if you do more, that will be better for you.” I said: I will make all of my dua for you. He said: “Then your concerns will be taken care of and your sins will be forgiven.” (At-Tirmidhi)
