Holy Quran is the last book of Allah and a source of guidance for the Muslims. It is the primary source of knowledge revealed on the last Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW). Also, the importance of tajweed can be understood by the hadith. The Holy Prophet (SAWW) said, “And Allah loves that man who recites the Quran the way it was revealed.” This hadith states that Allah loves that man who recites Quran the way it was revealed. The Quran was revealed in pure Arabic accent which is tajweed today. So, a person who recites Quran with tajwid is loved by Allah.
Another importance of reciting Quran with tajweed is that it is wajib on sane and adult Muslim man and woman. Also, not reciting Quran with tajweed can change the meaning of the word and at times, we don’t know but we might be uttering the word of kufar because of not reciting Quran with tajwid. Thus, reciting Quran with tajweed is very important to avoid small and big mistakes otherwise me will be committing sin.
Furthermore, Quran also states the importance of reciting Quran with tajweed. From the following verse, we can clearly understand the significance of reciting Quran with tajweed so we must do so.
“…And recite the Qur’an with measured recitation.” [Qur’an 73:4]
