Prophet Adam (AS) was the first human creation of Allah (SWT). He was the first messenger of Allah. There is also a mention of Hazrat Adam (AS) in Quran. He is considered as the father of humans and his wife Bibi Hawa, the mother of mankind.
Allah created Hazrat Adam (AS) from clay and ordered the angels and Iblees to prostrate in front of him (Hazrat Adam). All the angels followed the orders of Allah but Iblees did not as he thought of himself better than Hazrat Adam (AS) being created from fire and not clay. It was from that day that Iblees became the Shaitan (evil).
“And [mention] when We said to the angels, “Prostrate before Adam”; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.” (Quran, 2:34)
After Prophet Adam (AS), Allah created Bibi Hawa (Eve) from the shortest left rib of Hazrat Adam (AS); both Hazrat Adam (AS) and Bibi Hawa were married to each other. They were living in Jannah happily and Allah gave them the permission to use everything except for the fruit of the Forbidden Tree.
“And We said, “O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat therefrom in [ease and] abundance from wherever you will. But do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers.”” (Quran, 2:35)
One day, both Hazrat Adam (AS) and Bibi Hawa got betrayed by Shaitan and disobeyed Allah by eating the Forbidden Tree’s fruit as result of which they became naked and tried to covert themselves by the leaves of Heaven.
“But Satan whispered to them to make apparent to them that which was concealed from them of their private parts. He said, “Your Lord did not forbid you this tree except that you become angels or become of the immortal. And he swore [by Allah ] to them, “Indeed, I am to you from among the sincere advisors.” So he made them fall, through deception. And when they tasted of the tree, their private parts became apparent to them, and they began to fasten together over themselves from the leaves of Paradise. their Lord called to them, “Did I not forbid you from that tree and tell you that Satan is to you a clear enemy?”” (Quran, 7:20-22)
Thus, Allah sent them on earth from Heaven where they would live and die. However, they repented and asked for forgiveness from Allah and He had forgiven them as well.
“They said, “Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.” [ Allah ] said, “Descend, being to one another enemies. And for you on the earth is a place of settlement and enjoyment for a time.” He said, “Therein you will live, and therein you will die, and from it you will be brought forth.”” (Quran, 7:23-25)
Thus, Prophet Adam (AS) lived his life on earth with his wife and they had children as well. The story of descent of Hazrat Adam (AS) to earth also gives us great lessons as well which we must take and learn.
