Prophet Sulaiman (AS) is one of the prophets of Allah. He was very much blessed and had great qualities for sure. Moreover, Hazrat Sulaiman (AS) inherited some virtues from his father. There is also mention of Hazrat Sulaiman (AS) in the Quran.
“And We verily gave knowledge to Daood and Sulaiman and they said: praise be to Allah Who has preferred us above many of his believing servants.” (27: I5)
Hazrat Sulaiman (AS) was born in Jerusalem and was the youngest son of Hazrat Daood (AS). The name of the mother of Hazrat Sulaiman (AS) was Saba. After the death of Hazrat Daood (AS), he received the throne of Judia on the basis of his qualities.
Hazrat Sulaiman (AS) had this quality that he could take the sound and best decisions even in the complicated matters. There is a mention of incident of sheep in Quran in which Hazrat Sulaiman (AS) gave good decision or suggested sound judgement.
“And Daood (David) and Sulaiman (Solomon) when they gave judgement concerning the field, when people’s sheep had strayed and browsed therein by night; (and) We were witnesses to their judgement. And We made Sulaiman to understand (the case); and unto each of them We gave judgement and knowledge…” (21: 78, 79)
Hazrat Sulaiman (AS) had many special gifts which he had received from Allah. Likewise, the wind was made subservient to Hazrat Sulaiman (AS). In Quran, there is also a mention of wind being subservient to Hazrat Sulaiman (AS).
“And (We made) the wind subservient to Sulaiman…” (34:12)
“And unto Sulaiman We subdued the wind in its raging. It flows by his order towards the land which We had blessed…” (21:81)
Hazrat Sulaiman (AS) was also blessed with the special gift that he could understand the speech of the animals, brids and insects. In Quran, this thing is also mentioned.
“He (Sulaiman) said: O’ People! We have been taught the language of the birds and have been given (abundance) of all things; this is indeed grace manifest (from Allah).” (Quran)
Prophet Sulaiman (AS) also exercised his control over the jinns and devils. He used to order them and punish them as well when it was needed. The jinns used to work for Hazrat Sulaiman (AS) as well. The Quran also clearly states about Hazrat Sulaiman’s (AS) control over jinns.
“And gathered for Solomon were his soldiers of the jinn and men and birds, and they were [marching] in rows.” (27:17)
Hazrat Sulaiman (AS) used to love horses a lot and they were an important part of his army. When the horses used to come back from the missions, he used to show love to them via beautiful gestures.
Furthermore, the incident of Queen of Saba is also very important from the life of the Prophet Sulaiman (AS). Most importantly, we can know about Hazrat Sulaiman (AS) by carefully understanding and learning Quran.
