Benefits of Quran Recitation

QQuran is the last book of Allah revealed upon the Prophet Muhammad (SAWW). It is a book of guidance and learning. The Quran recitation is also important for Muslims as it’s a way to be connected to Allah. Quran is a very sacred book of Muslims in which there is guidance for everyone.

The Quran recitation is very important for the Muslims. Also, with the Quran recitation, Muslims should also learn Arabic to understand the Quran. This guides them to the right path as they then know the meaning of what they are reciting. Moreover, with translation, they can also understand the Quran.

However, recitation of Quran gives peace to mind and has many benefits plus rewards. Following are some of the benefits of the Quran recitation;

  1. Quran will come as our intercessor on the day of judgement:

    On the day of judgement, the Holy Quran will intercede for us. The Prophet (SAWW) said, Read the Quran, for verily it will come on the Day of Standing as an intercessor for its companions.” (Muslim)

  1. Quran as a proof on the final day of judgement:

    Quran will be a proof for us or against us on the final day of judgement. The Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) said, And the Qur’an is a proof for you or against you.” (Muslim) 

  1. Quran recitation will raise your rank in this world:

    The recitation of Quran is a noble act and it raises the rank of people in this world. The famous example of Ibn Abzaa who was a given the leadership of Makkah because he was the reader of the Holy book of Allah shows the benefits and blessing of the Quran recitation. The Prophet (SAWW) also said, “Verily Allah raises some people by this Book and lowers others by it.”

  1. Rewards for reciting the Quran:

    There are great rewards of the Quran recitation. As per the hadith, there are ten rewards for reciting the one letter of the Quran. Hadith is, “Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah, he will have a reward. And that reward will be multiplied by ten. I am not saying that “Alif, Laam, Meem” is a letter, rather I am saying that “Alif” is a letter, “laam” is a letter and “meem” is a letter.”

  1. Great status in the life hereafter for the Quran recitation:

    The recitation of Quran also gives a great status to the Muslims in the life hereafter. The Prophet (SAWW) stated, “It will be said to the companion of the Qur’an: Read and elevate (through the levels of the Paradise) and beautify your voice as you used to do when you were in the duniya! For verily, your position in the Paradise will be at the last verse you recite.” Also, Quran recitation leads one to the Paradise.

  1. Getting connected with Allah:

    The recitation of Quran connects man with Allah and a person gets so much peace and satisfaction after the Quran recitation.
