Translation: “Allah’s Name we begin with, The Compassionate, Most Merciful.”

Prophet (SAWW) said, “If a person mentions the name of Allah upon entering his house or eating, Shaitan says, addressing his followers: ‘You will find no where to spend the night and no dinner…’” (Muslim)

Dua that is recited after finishing eating the meal:

Likewise, there is also a dua that is recited after finishing eating the meal which is as follow:

اَ لْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِىْ اَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَاناَ وَجَعَلَناَ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ

“Alhumdu lil laahil Lazee At’amana Wa Saqaana Wa Ja’alana Minal Muslimeen”.

Translation: “All Praise is due to Allah, who has blessed us with food and drink and made us from amongst the believers (Muslims).” (Abu Dawood Pg.573)

Dua to remove anger being one of the duas that every Muslim must memorize:

Anger or wrath is a very dangerous thing and people can do blunders when angry. Thus, controlling the anger is very important and if you get angry then getting rid of it is even more important. Following is the dua which removes anger when recited at the time when you are enraged.

Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) said of the Dua that removes anger that:

“If a person reads (this) when he is angry, then his anger shall go away.

 “A’oozu Bil’laahi Minash Shaitaanir Rajeem”

Translation: “I seek refuge in Allah from Shaitaan, the cursed.” (Tirmizi Shareef Vol.2 Pg.183).

Among duas that every Muslim must memorize, dua while traveling is one of them as well. The following dua to be recited when you are travelling:

سُبْحَنَ الَّذِىْ سَخَّرَلَنَا هَذَا وَ مَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِيْنْ وَ اِنَّا اِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُوْنْ

Subhaanal lazee Sakh’khara Lana Haaza Wa Maa Kun’na Lahu Muqrineen Wa In’na ilaa Rab’bina La Munqaliboon”.

Translation: “Glory be to Allah who has given us control over this (mode of transport) and without his Grace we would not have been able to control it and undoubtedly we are to return towards our Lord.” (Tirmizi, Abu Dawood)

Dua before entering the washroom:

There is a dua before entering into washroom which is as follow:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبْثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ

“Allahahuma inni ‘A’oodhu Bika min al-khubthi wa’l-khabaa’ith.”

Translation: “O! Allah I seek refuge in You from the male, female evil and Jinns.”

Zayd ibn Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Holy Prophet (SAWW) said, “These toilets are haunted (inhabited by devils), so when anyone of you goes to the toilet let him say, ‘A’oodhu Billaahi min al-khubthi wa’l-khabaa’ith (I seek refuge Allaah from the male and female devils).” [Narrated by Abu Dawood, 6; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood]

Dua to be recited when coming out of the washroom:

The following dua is to be recited when you leave the toilet:

غُفْرَانَكَ

“Ghufraanaka.”

Translation: “Your forgiveness.”

Hazrat Ayesha (RA) said, “When the Prophet (SAWW) exited the toilet, he used to say Ghufraanaka (Your forgiveness).”

Dua for stress relief and getting rid of anxiety:

When we are stressed, the best way is to make dua to Allah to remove your stress and give you peace of mind and soul. There is also a hadith in which a way to get rid of stress and anxiety is mentioned which is as follow:

“If anyone constantly seeks pardon (from Allah), Allah will appoint for him a way out of every distress and a relief from every anxiety, and will provide sustenance for him from where he expects not.” [Abu Dawud]

“Astaghfirullah.”

Translation: “I ask forgiveness from Allah.”

Saying “Astaghfirullah” is also seeking pardon or forgiveness from Allah. Thus, Muslims must recite it constantly in the time of distress to get rid of stress and anxiety.

“Alḥamdu Lillaahil-ladhee Aḥyaanaa Ba‛da Maa Amaatanaa Wa Ilayhin-Nushoor.”

Translation: “All praise is for Allah who gave us life after causing us to die, and unto Him is the resurrection.”

Dua for leaving the home:

There is a dua when you leave the home about which Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) said, “Whosoever recites this dua (below mentioned) before leaving his home, all his difficulties will go away and he shall be protected from the mischief of his enemies and shaitaan will stay away from him.”

“Bismil laahi Tawak’kaltu Alal laahi Wa Laa Hawla Wa Laa Quw’wata il’la bil’laah.”
