Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) is the last prophet of Allah and we are the ummat of the Prophet (SAWW). There are many ways for the ummat of the Prophet (SAWW) to show love for their beloved prophet. Sending blessings upon the Prophet (SAWW) via reciting darood is also a way to show your love for our Prophet (SAWW).

Darood Shareef or Darood-e-Ibrahimi:

English translation:

“O Allah, let Your Blessings come upon Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and the family of Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), as you have blessed Ibrahim and his family. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have blessed Ibrahim and his family. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.”

Ahadiths that show the importance of recitation of darood:

Prophet (SAWW) said, “On Friday, send Durood abundantly to me, as it is presented before me.” (Abu Dawud)

For a Muslim, it is a great moment when his/her recitation of darood is presented before the Prophet (SAWW) as it is really a big thing. Moreover, the second hadith shows significance of the recitation darood shareef that Prophet (SAWW) will pray for those who recite darood. It is surely a great reward.
