The concept of tawakkul in Islam means trust and reliance on Allah. In every difficult situation that Muslims face, he/she trusts Allah with whole heart. It is a strong trust on Allah which is a great power of a Muslim. It also means to put trust in Allah and not worrying about the outcomes.

Quranic verses about Tawakkul:

“And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever places his trust in Allah, Sufficient is He for him, for Allah will surely accomplish His Purpose: For verily, Allah has appointed for all things a due proportion.” (Quran, 65:3)

“…And put your trust in Allah if you are believers indeed” (Quran, 5: 23)

“And whoever puts his trust in God, then God suffices him.” (Quran, 65:3)

The Quranic verses mentioned above show the importance of tawakkul in Islam as it has been mentioned in the Holy Quran. One who trusts Allah then Allah is enough for him/her. The person with it depends on Allah alone.

Moreover, in such time, a person due to tawakkul remains content that everything happens for good.

  1. Dependent on Allah alone:

  1. Connection with Allah:

Tawakkul establishes a relationship between man and Allah. A person trusts Allah alone and thus expects from Him only. This makes man to share everything with Allah and seek Allah’s help always with a trust that Allah will help. In this way, a connection between the people with tawakul and Allah is established.

Having tawakkul provides man relief from all the evils and protects him/her from all the enemies. Thus, a person with tawakkul remains calm and safe.
